I have a problem connecting my Sony vaio laptop to my Dlink dir-655 router?

I have a problem connecting my Sony vaio laptop to my Dlink dir-655 router when i try to connect

try this, if you are able to connect to the router and not the internet. First go to run and type in cmd this will bring up the command prompt. Then type in ipconfig /release , just as pictured, this release you ip address. then type in ipconfig /renew this will renew you ip address. If you cannot connect your to your router at all try in this order. Plug un plug reconnect, check security encryption, then plug an ethernet cord directly from your laptop to the router. Check you users mannual and there should be an address you can type into the router to access its detailed configuration, from there follow the instructions to trouble shoot, and if all else fails call the supplied user support number they are paid to be there for a reason. If you still do not have the manual then check the manufacturs web site. They usually keep an electronic copy available for download on the site.
