I Hate My Handwriting
Since she does not like her handwriting, allowing her to type it on the computer is a great motivator. Another area of writing DJ has trouble in is summarizing what she has read. To develop this type of writing, she should check if her summary answers the 5 W’s–Who, What, When, Where, and Why. DJ also would benefit from having her own dairy just to write her own thoughts and feelings in order to develop a voice in her writing to keep the reader interested. As far as sentence structure, she seems to have little or no experience on how to make a sentence flow and make sense.
