when connecting to the internet, I get a message that the server has timed out. What could this be?

if you have wireless Internet connection this could just accrue because it lost connection for a few seconds which is common but if you are saying that this message appears on yahoo the same problem happends to me.

Its when you have to web browsers open and on both of the you sign off of yahoo but then decide to stay online on the other but what happens is once you exit out of the other browser the computer recognizes as if you signed out of both browsers so yahoo shows an error saying our timed out because of this.

  1. Your "server" is refering to the connection between your computer and your internet provider’s server. If it times out that means it took too long to make a connection.

This could indicate lots of different problems, so I suggest contacting the tech support line of your internet provider. They can help you through the process, and check if it is a problem with their server or with your computer.
