How do I hook up my computer speakers to my Computer and TV/PC Monitor?
I have a Computer/HDTV monitor and it has internal speakers. I want it so I can watch tv with my pc speakers and i dont know How to connect them.
If your computer supports a Line In, then that would probably be the easiest option. Go into your Volume Control and turn on the Line In.
But to do the Line In at all, you would have to have analog audio output on your television, either the red/white RCA jacks or a headphone jack. If it has RCA output jacks, use a 2 RCA to 3.5mm stereo audio cable; if it only has a headphone jack, use a 2-sided 3.5mm stereo audio cable to connect to your computer’s Line In.
Otherwise, you could use an AV switch and two of the 2 RCA to to 3.5mm stereo audio cables to manually switch what goes to your speakers.
If your TV doesn’t have any analog audio outputs, then you won’t be able to connect. HDTV makers are starting to get stingy with such outputs.
