Problems connecting to wireless network with psp?

After I scan for the access point and enter the WEP key and such….there seems to be a problem where the psp RAPIDLY repeats the connection. Like it will say……"connecting to the access point Pease wait….." then it disappears and comes back again rapidly, before I even get to the part that says exchanging wep keys or w/e…..
why is it that everyones questions get quickly answered apart from mine?

may b thers an internal problem delete the connection nd do it again make sure its all correct
