I messed something up and am now having problems connecting to the internet on my windows 95/98?
I recently ran an ethernet cord from the modem connected to my other computer to this old 95/98. So i was doing my best to delete stuff and clean the copmuter , but somewhere along the way i messed somethihng up and i cannot connect to the internet. I am using dsl by the way. The internet connection wizard also is very complicated so can someone please help me get connected again?
You have removed your drivers for your DSL modem. Try the Add New Hardware wizard in Control Panel, and if that doesn’t work, you can try http://www.driverguide.com/ for drivers, provided, of course, that you know the maker and model number of your DSL modem.
try to shut the modem off for a few minutes and turn it back on so it will reset it’s self that might help.

Maybe you can restore your system to how it was the day before this happened.
Just an idea, good luck.

Your modem/dsl could be out of synch.
Try turning off your pc and modem for about a minute. Then restart.
