your question doesnt seem very precise,i will try and answer it to the best of my ability, first the router your using,is it wireless??are u trying to connect it wireless??? or do you want it a wired connection.?? MOST DSL connections are direct to the computer via a DSL modem or a router,if your using a desktop machine most likely you would have it on a wired connection,so the cable from your wall outlet or from your cable modem is directly connected to your ROUTER which is then DIRECTLY connected to the back of your computer via ETHERNET PORT (its like a telephone connection slightly bigger in size,RJ45)
hopefully this helps
References :
Plug the network cable from the DSL Modem into the "uplink" port of the router. Plug your computer's network cable into one of the other ports on the router. Done.
