Internet not connecting after replacing dsl phone filters?
I was experiencing static on the phone and was told I needed to replace my filters. (I have at&t dsl) The static is gone on the phone, but the internet won’t connect. I replaced the filters exactly like the old ones, so I know I didn’t put them on incorrectly. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong?
Make sure that the computer connection has an unfiltered connection from the wall. Use the filters on your phone lines only. Just to be sure, reboot your router, often a lot of problems can be fixed by just rebooting the router. If the Internet still doesn’t work with a reboot and a direct, unfiltered connection, then you have another problem and you should either on your computer (firewall), or with your Internet service provider.
