when you have dsl coming to a phone line, it comes to all phone jacks in the house because they all branch off of one line coming to the house. the only thing that makes them not dsl is when you put the interrupter in between the wall and the phone connected to it. you should be able to just move the modem you have now and connect it right from the modem to the comp. you can have it coming from the modem to the router, then a wireless connection from the router, and the router should have like 4 ports in the back for network cables.
