Can i connect a DSL modem to a cable modem in order to get wireless in my house?

i have a cable modem but it does not have 802.11 wireless so i bought a DSL modem that does have wireless. is it possible to connect the DSL to my cable?

The only DSL modems I know of that have wireless are the DSL modems/router all in ones. I’m not sure if that will work because when traffic is destined for the Internet, it will want to go out the phone port instead of the ethernet ports. The phone port is the smaller square port where the ethernet port looks like a big phone port.

My recommendation to end users who are not familiar with how to setup wireless securely is to go with powerline instead. It saves a lot of headaches! Check this video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9KWdOLgylg
