How can I make calls from my computer,via the landline connection and not connecting to the internet?

Can’t I do that using the Dial-up MODEM,but how?

Any useful software downloads?I’ve installed some,but all of them are making calls via internet!Can’t I place a call directly?

Is there an accessory called Windows phone dialer in the XP?

Use modem.
connect your modem to your analog phone line. Use the dialer to dial the number you want. Not sure what program you need to talk through your mic.
