How do I share my broadband internet (XP Home) to a PC (Vista) connecting to me via phone line?

My girlfriend lives far and her internet is down. I want to know if this is possible. My main goal is for file transfer but the easiest way I know how is by hyper terminal and it is no longer available in Windows Vista. The only thing we have to work with are phone modems. Is this possible?

How far does she live? If she already has Internet and you want to transfer files to her, you can try to buy webspace via FTP or something like that.

But if you want to physically share your Internet connection with her via a telephone modem from far away, that is illegal to share any Internet account with anyone.
