Hi, basically i got a wireless router on my downstairs pc,witch is connecting through my tiscali broadband ?

(small Box) so i set it all up, and on my laptop i find the my network, then type in the network key, and then it says its connected, strengh is excellent. But the problem is when i open internet explorer it just says page cannot be displayed,

Also when i click on my network it shows a small little lock..

If it’s connected correctly, then type following command in command prompt (cmd.exe), it should display correct IP, netmask, gateway and DNS info. After that you should be able to ping the gateway IP also.

ipconfig /all

  1. Did you use the hex version of your network key? i.e the long 40 character code.
