How do I connect to the internet, it says limited or no connectivity with a excellent signal strength?

The internet in our house is connected to 2wire, at&t. I have one desktop directly connected to the internet/ethernet cord, another desktop used wireless, and a laptop used wireless. And now I have a laptop through my school by gateway and uses Windows XP, when I try to connect it says limited or no connectivity and when I click fix, it says unable to renew IP address. Please Help!

Try going to

Start > control panel > network and internet connections > network connections > (right-click) wireless connection or click look to the side and click view available wireless networks > wireless networks

in the data encryption go to "wep" and below put your wep key in the open blanks.
then ckick the Authentication tab and make sure the "enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network.

then ok.
and ok again on the wireless network connection properties.
