How do I connect my wii to the internet?
Hi, i recently got a wii. I have a computer with windows xp. I am connected through a cricket broadband connection. I also have an airlink 101 usb wlan card. I was wondering how I can utilize these objects to connect to my wii? I was wondering if it is possible to create an access point using the wlan card.
Hey there I have a Wii and I dont know how to connect to the internet. If you need to connect to the internet go to www.nintendo.com or call nintendo and ask them to help you with your minor problem. If you have a game stop around, But one thing I do know about is that your computer has to be around 15 feet in order for you to use wireless internet If you still want internet and your Wii is more than 15 feet, I think you have to get a U.S.B cable Nintendo WI-FI in order to hook up the Wii to the internet so you can play against people around the world. Anyway, keep me posted on your problem and give me a rating to see if either www.nintendo.com or game stop helped you. PS people give me a rating to see how I did!
Hope this helped,

I don’t think you’ll be able to use the airlink card to connect. WLAN cards usually just pick up a wireless network.
Are you using it to pick up a router somewhere? If so, you should be able to find that same network with the wii.
If not, you have 2 options. you can buy a wireless router ($40-$90) depending on whether it’s new or used.
you can also look at getting a USB adaptor – name brand models run about $20. these will allow you to run your broadband connection directly into the wii.
there are some knock-offs on ebay for like $4. i don’t know if these are legit or not, though.
