Today in the morning I could connect now mid afternoon I can’t connect. I can use the browswer no problem. I go through the wireless settings again when it goes to test the connection it fails at the playstation store so I can’t play online to play games

This is a worldwide issue. You’re not the only one. You should have an Error 8001050.
This error is caused by the month of February having only 28 days this year, which causes problems with the PS3 internal clock.

DO NOT format your system. Sony is currently working on the issue and recommends users not to use their system for at least 24 hours.

A failure to load your trophy set may cause your trophies for that game to be deleted. DO NOT put games in your system. It is uncertain whether deleted trophies will become available again in the future.
The situation is presumed to to become normal in a day or two, but either Sony reverting the network to a previous state or by the clock returning to normal in March.

I’m having a problem connecting to online play for modern warfare 2, if the problem is that the server is over whelmed what are the chances of that problem being fixed?
my problem seems different from others, when I click on "play online" a window pops up saying :connecting to matchmaking server: but it never connects

Its the servers, the host company that maintains the servers for the modern warfare 2 game was not prepared for the amount of users to be online, it simply overloaded the servers and crashed them… servers are reset and additional servers are in place. some may be able to get online now and PS3 is projecting about 11pm et time to be 100% back online. This is no way involved with the patch and also it is not going to be till friday till things are fixed. yes there was a patch today for trophies and Friday there will be a patch to fix the invite problem. ENJOY!

Everything else on the msn network is fine and I can even see the headlines for my email but i cannot seem to log in. I wondered if it was a pc, hotmail or windows live issue.

Long story short: Desktop crashed. Now won’t open Internet Explorer or any other program that connects to the web. As soon as you try to open a program, the entire system reboots. Can’t find anything with scanning software or by looking at programs themselves.

Any ideas? I’m in need of help here. I’d appreciate it!

I am having issues connecting to World of Warcraft. I previously played the game for a year but cancelled my accts. because of money issues. Now I have paid on my acct. but when I try to login I get hung up on "connecting". I have called blizzard 4 times now and done everything from turning off my security software, running a tracert, emptying cache etc. I am really getting frustrated. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue?

I am going to assume that you are not using a dial-up connection and are already able to connect to the internet normally using a web browser.

Usually when this happens to me it is because the realm is down. You can check the status of the realm you are using here:

In other cases, it might be the router you are using. Since we can rule out security software because you have tried disabling it, the next step would be would be checking your operating system security. This method can be risky as the level of security is greatly reduced, but if you are able to connect without your router, then it is your router that is preventing you from connecting. If you are still having problems, try contacting your ISP for assistance.

I cannot connect to eBay tried on 2 computers both get message saying ‘cannot find server’.
Anyone else having this problem?

Error msg for YBrowser icon since I downloaded IE 8. Don’t know how to correct problem. I have to log in every time and search to get to my mail. Need a new Ybrowser software.

I wouldnt recommend great universal by the way they charge far too much interest and if they call you they charge you £12 every time on top of loads of other things they want £153 from me in one payment!!
I hit the roof as thats all I have left after my rent is paid I have exlained this to them loads of times but they dont care please dont get anything from them…. also they sent me a faulty item worth £130 and wont refund it or replace it! grrrr
