It used to connect fine a few months ago.

Is your home network showing up under settings?

Now I have all components (BluRay, Xbox, Cable) connected via HDMI to my tv and my tv connected to my reciever using those regular red and white cables.

Usually all components connect through the receiver. This includes your cable input.
The receiver has an output for HDMI to go the TV. Use that to hook up TV. If you don’t have HDMI on TV, then you need to use those cable.

I just received a RTD209 system as a gift. I am trying to install it in my living room, where I have my large TV. I have my cable receiver there as well. The directions to hook the system up are very confusing. Each time I try to hook the TV and the cable’s audio in and out and video in and out, I get loads of distortion and no clear picture. I have been unable to get any real help from RCA. Anyone have any ideas?

Well there are some cables that you have to connect them so well, to get the audio and video you wanted!

1st. You have to connect your Cable receiver’s video out put, to your Large TV video input, with the video cable you have.

2nd:

a)I guess there should be a cable that allows you to connect your receiver’s audio output, to 2 audio inputs. Or if there isn’t you’ve gotta buy one. With this cable you can connect your receivers audio out put, to your TV’s input and also to your Home theater speakers ( If there is any )

b) But if you don’t have any Home theater speakers, you don’t need to buy a cable that allows you to connect your receiver’s audio output, to 2 audio inputs. You would need to buy a cable that allows you to connect your receiver’s audio output to only ONE audio input.

And then connect your receiver’s audio output to your TV’s audio input. ( Remember: stereo audio cables have 2 different cord ((= Left with the White color & Right with the red )) that you have to connect them correct I mean White to White and Red to Red) you got it?

Any way if you have any Home theater speakers you need to do the A way, and if you don’t do the B way I said.

3rd. Connect your cable receiver to your receiver and finally have fun !

I pick up my speakers this weekend – I am guessing the sales people are going to hit me with a "you have to have THESE cables to make them sound good. What should I spend?

Cableguy is right…just get speaker cable at a home store. Don’t listen to salespeople or "audiophile" weenies on Yahoo Answers.

Just wondering if possible how to get my PS3 optical cable and Sky HD optical cable to both be in use without having to physicaly remove and replace as my home theatre kit has only 1 input, i know its physicaly impossible to use 2 optical cables for 1 input but what alternatives do i have any suggestions ?

You can use this inexpensive piece as a splitter/combiner. It will be a lot easier than moving plugs around and it’s 6 bucks!

I want Microsoft Outlook to connect from home to check my business emails? Do I have to change anything since its been setup before from companies IP or other settings to receive and send my mails?

It will depend on whether the mail is stored in your office building, or on an internet service

- if it is a mail server somewhere outside your office building, then it should be OK to access it wherever you are

eg host name mail.companyname.co.uk

(sometimes that will still be on a server within your company network, but if so, then it may still be available when you are not in your office)

- if it is on your office LAN (local network) then it depends on the settings used within Outlook.

eg host name 192.168.1.200
that address is only accessed when you are in your office building, so you would need to check with IT staff from your company as to whether mail can be collected (and sent) from a PC outside the company network.

If you can show (some) details (don’t put the actual company domain name) from your settings in Outlook, it might be possible to answer more reliably.

Hi there, I’ve been looking all over for this cord I once saw on the internet. I want to convert the audio from the digital-out audio of my HD LCD tv to my home stereo speakers. It doesnt have any digital-in jack however, only L and R audio. What cord/cable can convert the digital audio out from my LCD HDTV to my radio’s stereo left and right pin.

Since I learnt I cant easily do the conversion, I connected my PC’s speakers to the headphone jack of my tv (since it has no L and R audio output) and got it working. The sound isnt too impressive as my PC speakers arent particularly state of the art. so i got to thinking, in the mean time before i buy and amp, can I get a wire/cable that’ll xtend the headphone out jack from my tv all the way to my stereo’s L and R input? Would a Y cable do? Wouldnt this be like using your cd players line out to connect to the stereo’s L and R? If I can do this, is there any special thing I should look out for? Thanks!

You cannot connect a digital signal to an analogue input that your stereo has. Look carefully again at the back of the TV and you may find a set of RCA audio output jacks that you can connect your stereo to.

You can get in touch with cable internet service providers, or check if there is any wireless network on your area.

I bought a home theatre system today, but i’m having trouble connecting it to my xbox 360. The system bass doesnt have an optical audio input but It does have 2 Auxillary inputs and i was wondering if i could set it up using only RCA cables. Or is there any other way of setting it up?

Connect the red and white RCA audio cables from the Xbox into the auxiliary input on the HT receiver. That should do it.*
